The SoC debug framework supports a universal debug time distribution architecture that provides a common time value bus to the following trace sources in the SoC:
The following trace sources are not aligned to the universal debug time:
Timestamping in trace streams allows accurate correlation of traces from across the SoC. The source for debug timestamp is the Global Timebase Counter (GTC) module which outputs a 48-bit graycode value. It is then converted to binary locally in each trace module.
All CPTracer2 bus probes receive only the 16 LSBs of the distributed time value. The full time is reconstructed in the parent aggregator.
For more details on the GTC, see the Global Timebase Counter TRM chapter.
