The debug tooling can request an override of the reset state of the managed domain via the RESETCONTROL directive. The possible overrides are defined in Table 13-4. When a debug reset override request is preventing the subdomain from entering the normal (by application flow) reset state, the UNATURALRESET directive is set.
Value | Command | Description |
---|---|---|
000 | Normal operation | Reset operates under the normal control of the application or device controls. |
001 | Wait-in-reset (extend reset) | The module(s) controlled by this secondary TAP will remain in the reset state once the reset has been asserted. This bit alone does not reset the processor. |
010 | Block reset | Warm-reset to the module is blocked. At this point, only emulation reset controls will work. |
011 | Block & assert reset | Assert and hold the reset to the module. |
100 | Halt-on-reset | If halt-on-reset=1, a debug request shall be made if warm reset is asserted to the debug TAP. If halt-on-reset=0, no debug request shall be generated. |
101 | Cancel | Cancels reset command lockout |
110 | Halt-on-reset + block reset | Enable functionality of ‘100’ and ‘010’ |
111 | Halt-on-reset + block & assert reset | Enable functionality of ‘100’ and ‘011’ |
The Power-AP module provides the capability to control local reset of processor subsystems.
