The power to RTC needs to be applied in an orderly fashion to operate correctly. The battery-backed domain should be powered on at or before when the core domain is powered on. If the battery-backed domain loses power while the CORE domain is on, then the state of the RTC time counter will be lost.
Additionally, the assertion of PMIC_ENABLE to high would be lost if the battery-backed domain lost power, and this may cause the entire SoC to lose power or reset. This would result losing in the RTC time counter state.
