One other use-case of OSPI1 is for SRAM expansion. This is achieved by providing SoC level hardware to enable OSPI1 controller to interface an Octal PSRAM to the device. OSPI1 Address Translation logic and OSPI1 DQS Control Logic are meant to help OSPI1 interface with a PSRAM. Based on the PSRAM present, either one or both of them should be enabled. When using OSPI1 for a SRAM expansion use-case, OSPI1 can work in Octal SPI mode, providing higher read write throughput. OSPI1 does not support OptiFlash, hence there is no mechanism for on the fly Encryption, Authentication or Safety.
