OSPI1 supports both Flash as well as Octal PSRAMs. The addressing mechanism for most of the PSRAMs resemble that of Flash, but there are exceptions to these, example ISSI PSRAM.ISSI PSRAM has an addressing scheme, which requires some address translation to be done at SOC level before feeding the address to OSPI controller. To enable this, additional hardware logic is implemented in deisgn, and the same can be enabled or disabled using a register programming. (MSS_CTRL.OSPI1_CONFIG_CONTROL.OSPI1_CONFIG_CONTROL_ADDRESS_TRANSLATE_EN).
Figure 13-222 Whenever an ISSI PSRAM is integrated on board which needs address translation, the corresponding ADDRESS_TRANSALTE_EN bit needs to be set by software.
