5.6 Secure Copy Code

In some applications, users may need to copy the code from secure Flash to secure RAM for better performance. This cannot be done for EXEONLY Flash sectors because EXEONLY secure memories cannot be read from anywhere (including code in the same zone). TI provides specific “Secure Copy Code” library functions for Zone 1 and Zone 2 to enable the user to copy content from EXEONLY secure Flash sectors to EXEONLY RAM blocks. These functions do the copy-code operation in a highly secure environment and allow a copy to be performed only when the following conditions are met:

  • The secure RAM block and the secure Flash sector belong to the same zone.
  • Both the secure RAM block and the secure Flash sector have EXEONLY protection enabled.
