21.1.2 Features

Refer to the device-specific datasheet for the supported features, as some devices may not include support for select features. The following list describes the full complement of features available:

  • Fully programmable serial interface:
    • 5, 6, 7 or 8 data bits
    • Even, odd, stick, or no-parity bit generation and detection
    • 1 or 2 stop bit generation
    • LSB-first or MSB-first data transmit and receive
