The prescaler depicted in Figure 20-4 is used to divide a high-frequency signal to comply with the timing requirements detailed in Section 20.3.4.3. The prescaler divides an event from the event bus to generate a lower-frequency event named AUX_TDC_PRE. The division ratio is either 16 or 64, and the resulting event waveform has a 50% duty cycle. The user must select AUX_TDC_PRE as both start and stop events for TDC conversion.
