Welding machines are used to join materials either by arcing, laser or ultrasounds. TI’s products and reference enable your design with:

• GaN FeT, high-side and low-side switch and gate drivers (isolated or non-isolated) for delivering power to the head
• Shunt or fluxgate and associated signal chain solutions for current measurement
• Power factor correction, Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) and resonant controller for the AC input sub-system
• Digital processing with high-resolution PWM such as F28x microcontrollers or Sitara processors and respective point of load solutions
• Wired interface PHY and MAC (Ethernet, CAN, …) to allow interfacing with control systems
