SYSTIM is a 34-bit timer running at a resolution of 250 ns with a low range (about 1.2 hr) but high precision (of 250 ns) that can be used by both the RF-Core and the system CPU. SYSTIM follows the RTC (Chapter 270) and can only be used in device ACTIVE state. The SYSTIM synchronizes with the RTC. This is done during start-up and continuously during ACTIVE state. When the device goes from STANDBY/RESET/SHUTDOWN to ACTIVE the value of the RTC time is loaded to SYSTIM with a resolution of 250 ns.
