1.7 Hardware Security Module

The 2M - CC27xxx20 devices have an integrated hardware security module (HSM) supporting an isolated environment for cryptographic operations, key management, secure counters, and random number generation operations. AES and SHA-2 algorithms are protected from differential power analysis (DPA) side-channel attacks.

The HSM also contains a FIPS-compliant True Random Number Generator (TRNG) and nonvolatile monotonic counters. The HSM also supports HSM firmware validation by HSM ROM and secure HSM firmware updates.
