6.3.2.7 Internal V7V Regulator

The TPS65286 features an internal low dropout linear regulator (LDO) from VIN to V7V. The LDO regulates V7V to 6.3-V over drive voltage on power MOSFET for the best efficiency performance. the LDO also provides supply bias for internal analog controller and power for low-side MOSFET for the best efficiency performance. The current limit of LDO is 50 mA and connecting a minimum 1-µF ceramic capacitor to the V7V terminal is recommended. Directly placing the capacitor close to the V7V and PGND terminals is highly recommended for high transient current required by the MOSFET gate drivers.
