6.2.2.4 LDO Input Capacitors

All LDO inputs require an input decoupling capacitor to minimize input ripple voltage. Using a 2.2-µF capacitor for each LDO is recommended. Depending on the input voltage of the LDO, a 6.3-V or 10-V capacitor can be used. See Table 6-2 for the specific part number of the recommended input capacitors.

For optimal performance, the input capacitors should be placed as close to the LDO input pins as possible. See the Section 6.3.1 section for more information about component placement.
