Overvoltage Protection (VOUT Pin)

The device provides an overvoltage protection (OVP) for boost converter output. The OVP comparator monitors the VOUT pin through an internal resistor voltage resistors. If the VOUT pin voltage rises above the overvoltage threshold (VOVTH), OVP is activated. When OVP is triggered, the device turns off the low-side driver and turns on the high-side driver until zero current is detected in diode emulation. In FPWM mode, the low-side driver is not turned off when the OVP is triggered.

After at least 30 μs (VOVTH-DLY) in OVP status, the device enters the OVP condition. The recommended capacitor from the VOUT pin to PGND (CVOUT) is 0.1 μF.
