4.3.3 Generating Linker Files

Linker files for CCS and IAR are included for all target configurations, and they can be used as a starting point for other devices or custom projects. MSP430FRBoot includes a linker generator script that can also help with this process.

  • Find the convert tool in the folder "MSP430FRBoot_<version>\Utilities\linkerGen"

  • Readme.txt - Shows how to use the convert tool

  • demo_link.bat - Needs to be modified by your use case and call "MSPFRBOOT_Linkergen_v2.py"

  • MSPFRBOOT_Linkergen_v2.py - Generates the linker files based on the command in demo_link.bat
