Current Sense

High-accuracy current sensing allows real-time monitoring and more diagnostics without further calibration. A current mirror is used to source a 1/5000 of the load current on SNS pin. The 1-kΩ R1 resistor is connected to the SNS pin to convert the current source into a voltage:

VSNS = 1000 × IOUT / 5000
