Power Supply

The MSP430 devices are ultra-low-power microcontrollers from Texas Instruments. These devices support a number of low-power modes and improved power consumption during active mode when the CPU and other peripherals are active. The low-power features of this device family allow the design of the power supply to be extremely simple and cheap. The power supply allows the energy meter to be powered directly from the mains.
