9.3.1 Replacing a LVPECL oscillator with the LMK6Bx

To replace a LVPECL oscillator with the LMK6Bx for a AC-coupled applications,

  1. The receiver must have a 100Ω internal termination (if not, one needs to be placed externally).
  2. Use the LMK6Bx AC-LVPECL output type.
  3. Depopulate any emitter resistors as shown in Figure 9-12.
