概述

Welcome to the quickstart design tool for the LMG708B0 and LMG708B0-Q1 GaN synchronous buck converter family, which is intended for high-efficiency and high-density applications. This standalone tool facilitates and assists the power supply engineer with the design of a DC/DC buck regulator in a single-phase or multiphase configuration. As such, the user can expeditiously arrive at an optimized design to meet the application requirements.

  • Configure the converter for single-phase, two-phase or multiphase applications
  • Determine the buck inductance and input and output capacitances
  • Select components for overcurrent protection, switching frequency and output voltage setpoint
  • Optimize compensation component values for loop stability using crossover frequency as a performance metric
  • Inspect regulator efficiency, solution size, and component power dissipations with ambient temperature as a parameter
  • Review auto-generated schematic and BOM list
