Introduction

The BMS106 evaluation module (EVM) is a complete charger module for evaluating the BQ25640 device. The BQ25640 is an I2C-controlled single-cell charger with NVDC Power Path Management, Integrated ADC, USB Type-C Detection, and OTG mode output.

This user's guide provides detailed testing instructions for the BQ25640 evaluation module (EVM). Also included are descriptions of the necessary equipment, equipment setup, and test procedures. The reference documentation contains the printed-circuit board layouts, schematics, and the bill of materials (BOM).

Throughout this user's guide, the abbreviations EVM, BQ25640EVM, BMS106, and the term evaluation module are synonymous with the BMS106 evaluation module, unless otherwise noted.
