Power Supply Recommendations

The TCAN1057A transceiver is designed to operate with a main VCC input voltage supply range between 4.5 V and 5.5 V. The TCAN1057AV implements an I/O level shifting supply input, VIO, designed for a range between 1.7 V and 5.5 V. Both supply inputs must be well regulated. A decoupling capacitance, typically 100 nF, should be placed near the CAN transceiver's main VCC supply pin in addition to bypass capacitors.
