Initial Required Setup on the Config Tab

After the EVM GUI is started, you must press some buttons (Initialize USB, Power Up, Program FPGA, and Initialize ADS98xx) to perform the initial configurations. As shown in Figure 6-6, press these buttons in order from top to bottom. Wait after each button press for the status to indicate that the step is complete. For the Power Up and Program FPGA buttons, some status LEDs on the hardware illuminate. The power-up step takes the longest time (approximately 30 seconds). After all four buttons are pressed, the power on the ADS9218EVM is on and the ADS9218 device registers are configured.
