9 Power Supply Recommendations

The TPS51397A is intended to be powered by a well-regulated DC voltage. The input voltage range is 4.5 V to 24 V. The TPS51397A is a buck converter. The input supply voltage must be greater than the desired output voltage for proper operation. Input supply current must be appropriate for the desired output current. If the input voltage supply is located far away from the TPS51397A circuit, some additional input bulk capacitance is recommended. Typical values are 100 μF to 470 μF.
