9.2.2 Detailed Design Procedure

  1. Recommended Input Conditions
    • See (Δt/ΔV) in the Recommended Operating Conditions: SN54LVCH245A table for the input transition rate specification.
    • See (VIH and VIL) in the Recommended Operating Conditions: SN54LVCH245A table for the input voltage high level and input voltage low level specifications.
    • The inputs are overvoltage tolerant. This allows them to rise up to 5.5 V at any valid VCC.
    • The inputs can be left floating. The internal bus-hold circuits maintains the last valid state at the inputs.
  2. Recommended Output Conditions
    • Do not exceed 25 mA per output and 50 mA in total for the device.
    • Do not pull outputs above VCC.
