Line-Side Output Cable Driver (SDI_OUT1+, SDI_OUT2+)

The LMH1208 has two output cable driver (CD) blocks, one for SDI_OUT1 and another for SDI_OUT2. These SDI outputs are designed to drive 75-Ω single-ended coaxial cables at data rates up to 11.88 Gbps. Both SDI_OUT1 and SDI_OUT2 feature an integrated 75-Ω termination and return loss compensation network for meeting stringent SMPTE return loss requirements (see Figure 8). The cable drivers are designed for AC coupling, requiring a 4.7-μF, AC-coupling capacitor for minimizing base-line wander due to the rare-occurring pathological bit pattern.
