To avoid mis-operation of the device at low input voltages, an undervoltage lockout (UVLO) comparator monitors the supply voltage. The UVLO comparator shuts down the device at an input below the threshold VTH_UVLO– with falling VIN. The device starts at an input voltage higher than the threshold VTH_UVLO+ with rising VIN.
When the device resumes operation from an undervoltage lockout condition, it behaves like being enabled. This means the internal control logic is powered up, the external RSET resistor is read out and a soft-start sequence is initiated.
