Appliances, building security and other applications require capacitive touch buttons, sliders and wheels that are tolerant to liquid influence whether it is from rain, spills, or outdoor environments. The video provides an overview of a reference design using MSP430 MCUs with CapTIvate touch technology that provide robust and reliable performance in the presence of liquid including the IPX5 water resistance rating.
