Overview

ViALUX's Direct Link Sensor provides an integrated optics and electronics design for DLP7000. The DLS module adresses 3D machine vision use cases that demand for coupling high-performance DLP projection with precisely synchronized image acquisition. The DLS concept overcomes the former need of multiple separate devices for pattern projector and camera. DLS integrates both, DLP chip and image sensor, in one single electronics. The user defines a projection sequence and receives the corresponding image sequence on return.

The DLS API enables any type of pattern sequences that may differ in bit depth, number of pictures, and frame rate. An additional software package (zSn.dll) is available aiming at high-speed and high-precision 3D coordinate measurement applications. This powerful 3D measurement software has been developed for the ViALUX zSnapper® 3D scanners and is now released on DLS module level. It delivers calibrated (x,y,z) coordinates directly and automatically for use in 3D machine vision.
