Flash is an electrically erasable/programmable non-volatile memory that can be programmed and erased many times to ease code development. Flash memory can be used primarily as a program memory for the core, and secondarily as static data memory. This guide describes the usage of the flash API library to perform erase, program and verify operations for the on-chip Flash memory of TMS320F28P55x devices.

This reference guide provides a detailed description of the Texas Instruments TMS320F28P55x Flash API Library (FAPI_F28P55x_EABI_v4.00.00.00 & FAPI_F28P55x_COFF_v4.00.00.00) functions that can be used to erase, program and verify Flash on TMS320F28P55x devices. Even though the library names for TMS320F28P55x are different, the Flash API libraries are same. Note that the Flash API V4.00.XX.XX should be used only with TMS320F28P55x devices.
