Featured Applications with OMAP3530

Pulse Oximetry		Software Defined Radio (SDR)		Ultrasound System
Measures arterial blood oxygen saturation by sensing absorption properties of deoxygenated and oxygenated hemoglobin using various wavelengths of light DSP technology can eliminate signal distortion caused by other light sources or motion occurring while readings are taken, extracting only the signal of interest and allows accurate readings of very low level signals through sophisticated algorithms		Leverages the ARM general purpose processor to complement highly-efficient, programmable TI digital signal processor (DSP) and a rich set of IO to address the needs for software defined radio communication devices Perfectly suited for the complex functions in wireless protocol-specific algorithms and combine number-crunching power with intelligence to enable multitasking		Used in the imaging system for Doppler processing, 2D, 3D and even 4D imaging as well as a host of post processing algorithms to increase functionality and performance Can handle the intensive processing needs of ultrasound and the SerialRapidIO peripheral provides 10 Gbps full duplex bandwidth
